Federal Tax CreditsThe 2011 Federal Tax Credits for Consumer Energy Efficiency (whew! say that five times fast) offers a 10% tax credit (up to $500, or a specific amount from $50-$300) when you retrofit your primary residence with a new, high efficiency wood pellet stove by December 31, 2011. The EnergyStar website has all the information you need to get your application processed.
State ProgramsThe Alliance for Green Heat has assembled a comprehensive list of state incentives for renewable energy and efficiency, but we wanted to make it even easier for you: Here’s a short list of programs in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. If you have any questions about installation, whether a particular pellet stove qualifies for an incentive, or anything else – give us a call at 1-800-PELLETS!
